Pınar Salcı - CEO

Pınar Salcı earned both her undergraduate and graduate degrees from Ankara University, Political Sciences Faculty, Department of International Relations and Institute of European Studies respectively. She joined Yapı ve Kredi Bankası A.Ş. as management trainee in international division in 1995 where she was promoted to be Investor Relations manager in 1997. She was appointed as Vice President and Head of Financial Institutions in 2002 where she was responsible for all international activities of Yapı ve Kredi Bankası A.Ş., mainly international borrowing programs, relationship banking with correspondent banks and other financial and supranational institutions. 

From 2011 on, she was selected as Executive Vice President and Head of Strategic Marketing and Business Development. She was responsible for corporate & commercial segments’ business strategy, planning, budgeting & performance monitoring activities. In addition, Mrs. Salcı, was responsible for designing the strategies for Yapı ve Kredi Bankası A.Ş.’s international and domestic subsidiaries and taking necessary actions for their business developments and improving cross-sell. She additionally undertook the related responsibilities of SME segment in 2020. She was also in charge of digital transformation of the business segments. 

Mrs. Salcı was member of Yapı ve Kredi Bankası A.Ş.’s strategy development team, deposit/loan pricing committee, participant to Leasing and Factoring and International Subsidiaries’ Credit and Risk Committees. She was a member of Yapi Kredi Bank Azerbaijan JSC’s Audit and Yapi Kredi Bank Nederland N.V.’s Credit Committee for the last two years. In July 2021, she was appointed as CEO-General Manager of Yapi Kredi Bank Nederland N.V. and currently holds this position.

Mete Karayel - Deputy General Manager

Mete Karayel received his Master’s in Financial Management degree from Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School. Before that he had a Business Administration degree from Middle East Technical University. He started his banking career at Yapi Kredi as an internal Auditor in 2000. He was working in Yapi Kredi Nederland as CFO before he has been appointed as the Deputy General Manager of the bank in 2011.
